Yannis Ariston Xenopolos was a minor character in the Alex Rider novel Scorpia Rising.[1]

Role in Series[]

Scorpia Rising[]

He was a Greek businessman who did business with SCORPIA, and in particular, Zeljian Kurst. Xenopolos wanted Kurst to recover the Elgin Marbles that belonged to his country before he died of Terminal cancer. Kurst took advantage of that opportunity to help finance his newest plan with SCORPIA associates Razim and Julius Grief. Xenopolos died before SCORPIA retrieved the Marbles because Kurst wanted to wait for the money first. With both the jewels and the money, Kurst could finance Razim's plan.[1]

Physical Appearance[]

Yannis sat in a wheelchair. He had pale white skin,like an eygptian mummy's. It also stated that the colour of his eyes had changed before his death.  

Career[]

Yannis Ariston Xenopolos made his vast fortune from a huge shipping empire, which he controlled from his offices in Athens, as well as an airline called Ariston Air and a chain of hotels.
